Deadlines for report submission

Attention to all FYP1 and FYP2 students. Please follow the datelines to avoid any restriction for presenting your project in FYP Seminar.

The online Talk on Report Formating and Technical Paper will be held on Thursday 02 November 2023. FYP2 students are compulsory to attend.

FINAL YEAR PROJECT CLAIM FOR 2025

Please submit FYP claims for 2025 before October 31, 2025. After that date, claims for 2025 will not be accepted.

TECHNICAL PAPER SUBMISSION (FOR EXAMINER PANEL REVIEW)

Most students submit their Technical Papers in Pdf format. The submission will be rejected and must be submitted again in the Add Discussion section.

Please make sure the Technical Paper file in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document format ONLY. NOT in Pdf.

A zero marks will be given if the technical paper is not submitted.

PROJECT PROPOSAL (FYP I) & DRAFT FINAL REPORT (FYP II)

We are reaching the final stages of Final Year Project. Students, please take note of the following:

Week 10 - 12

Complete Project Proposal (FYP 1), Draft Final Report (FYP 2), and Technical Paper (FYP 2). Write the FYP activities in e-log PSM.
Submit to Supervisor for final review.

Week 14

Make corrections and improvements to Project Proposal, Draft Final Report and Technical Paper as suggested by Supervisor.
Produce final version of Project Proposal and Draft Final Report conforming with the cover formats that can be found on the FYP Website.
Fill in the particulars on the cover (i.e. department and names of panelists) and obtain approval from your Supervisor (i.e. signature and stamp).
Submit one (1) softcopies of Project Proposal and Draft Final Report via AUTHOR System.
Submit final version of Technical Paper to panel via AUTHOR System.

Week 15

Prepare material for FYP Seminar presentation, i.e. PowerPoint slides
Prepare for oral presentation.
Complete e-Log and submit to Supervisor for verification and assessment.

Week 16

Present your proposal (FYP 1) and completed project (FYP 2) at FYP Seminar.
Students who not present during seminar will failed the FYP course.

Submission of Project Proposal (FYP I), Draft Final Report and Technical Paper (FYP II)

Students must submit ONE (1) softcopy of their Project Proposal (FYP 1) or Draft Final Report (FYP 2) via AUTHOR System. Last date of submission is January 04, 2026.
Students must submit ONE (1) softcopy of their Technical Paper via RTCEBE or FKAAB Journal System. Last date of submission is January 11, 2026.
Please take note of the following:

Failure to submit will result in the student not being allowed to present at the seminar, hence he/she will be given Grade E (Fail).
The similarity turn-it-in report (one page only) must attach together with the draft report. Failure to do that, he/she will be given Grade E (Fail)
The softcopy of Project Proposal and Draft Final Report must adhere to the cover formats.
The softcopy must be approved (signed and stamped) by the Supervisor.
The names of your panel of examiners (refer to the presentation schedules here) must be written on the cover.

FYP 2 students must prepare one (1) softcopy of their Final Report that comply with writing formats stipulated in the UTHM Thesis Writing Guide. All copies must be verified by the Supervisor.

Submit one (1) softcopy (pdf format), turn-it-in report via AUTHOR System.

FINAL TECHNICAL PAPER
